You've seen the $406 rent increase number.
Nobody's reading you the sentence right under it.

That study assumes your local government raises its tax rate to get every dollar back.
If they don't raise the rate, the number is zero.

And the assessment cap on rentals drops from 10% a year to 5%.

Your sheriff is against Amendment 3. Your governor is for it.
Here's the difference, and it's not politics.

Look at who's against it. The people whose job is to protect a budget.
Look at who's for it. The people saying the budget has to fit the taxpayer.

That's the split.

Every county says Amendment 3 will cost them millions.
Here's what they've actually done about it since June.

St. Johns put about $100 million of projects on hold.
Volusia pulled $4.8 million out of reserves. One-time money.
Jacksonville set aside $6.2 million. Their own auditor says the hit is $300 million.
Flagler ordered a study.

They're not planning for it. They're campaigning against it.
