It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted any bodybuilding competition photos. The last time I competed was July 2024. I had to take 2025 off because of having major back surgery in March. I’m excited to say that after almost exactly a year from that surgery date I stepped on stage again and this time as a 60 year old! It felt great to be back and I showed up with a different level of confidence, a better and fuller body and walked away with a first place in the overall figure division! This was a smaller show to get my feet wet again but there are several more planned. My next one is in just 3 weeks, April 4th, in Mesa, AZ at the and then April 25th in Seattle at the . After that we are looking at Pittsburgh in July!
If someone would have told me in July of 2024 that I would be taking a year and a half off and having surgery it would have sounded unfathomable that I’d ever step on stage again. But when there’s something you really want, a drive and desire inside you, you can be unstoppable. Discipline (a lot of it), desire, faith, passion, support and that innate desire to achieve will get you through anything. With God in control and my husband (Bob Cummins) by my side riding this rollercoaster, I can do it!
