A Family Tradition Continues: Wally's Desert Turtle was founded in 1978 by Wally Botello. His vision and tradition of culinary excellence then continued under the leadership of his son Michael and daughter-in-law Nicole. Now in 2021, we are proud to announce that this tradition of excellence will continue under the leadership of Michael and Nicole's daughter Madalyn Botello.

After graduating from The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, Madalyn countined her traning at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washingtion DC. With years of training and seasoning in the hospitality industry, along with direct knowledge of the 5-star guest experience, Maddy is delighted to continue the Botello family tradition.

Her keen eye for detail and knowledge of today's culinary scene is sure to help build upon Wally's storied history as the desert's iconic dining destination and will help usher in the next era of fine dining.

We invite you to join us for the start of our 2021 fall season on October 1, 2021. A new era begins and a family tradition continues.....

We have been monitoring all recommendations from the CDC and Riverside County Health Department and have decided to reopen our in-restaurant dinning. We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. We will still be offering our no contact delivery and take out.

We are so thankful to the RivCo Board of Supervisors for moving the County to Phase 2.5 of the Reopening Plan. This means that our shops, businesses and restaurants can open, with provisions as soon as tomorrow! For our customers, THANK YOU for your support over these last weeks, with Take Out, Curb Side pick up and being there for us. Now, we are again here for you.
