I’m sharing something a little more personal today for National Daughters Day. 💕

My daughter, Aydan Elizabeth, arrived six weeks and three days early, weighing less than five pounds and four minutes behind her twin brother.

She started life as Peaches because of the little peach fuzz on her head. Then colic earned her the nickname Screaming Mimi. Before long, she was talking for her brother, dressing him in princess clothes and receiving her first leadership award in Pre-K 3.

That leadership streak never left. Today, she is 23 and works as a retail manager. She is funny, creative, quirky and wonderfully herself. She loves arts and crafts, theater, musicals and all things Disney.

The photographs change as the years pass, but somehow a mother can still see every version of her child at once.

The people we love are what give our lives—and our homes—their stories.

Happy National Daughters Day, Aydan. You light up my life, and I love you. 💕

Fall in Florida is less “sweater weather” and more “pumpkin patch with the A/C waiting in the car.” 🍂☀️

But that doesn’t mean we’re skipping the fun.

I put together my 2026 Tampa Bay Fall Guide with pumpkin patches, festivals, markets, family activities, seasonal treats, date ideas and a few places worth the drive.
