Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone! 🎉

Kicking things off with our Base camp right here in downtown Long Beach for the next three days — one of my absolute favorite urban camping spots! Just took a beautiful evening walk along the water, soaking in the views of the Queen Mary and the Port of Long Beach. So good to be back.

Traffic crossing LA this afternoon wasn’t even that bad, and we rolled in around 6. First order of business? I whipped up some lettuce wrap chicken using that new Japanese barbecue sauce from Costco my sister Lissie told me about. It turned out better than P.F. Chang’s — seriously awesome!

Looking forward to exploring more with Terry tomorrow and catching up with Mary and Jon at their new place in Huntington Beach on Saturday.
