Ring camera caught some boys trying to break in the house. I went and spoke with the mom, she said “Those boys ain’t no thugs, I’ll talk to them and they will not be back on your property”🤣. Their mama doesn’t play because they have not been back on the property lol

First competition in the books 🥉

This past weekend I stepped on the mat for the first time and came away with 3rd place. I had two matches and lost the first by points (8–0), then regrouped and finished strong in the bronze match (6–0).

This experience was far more intense than I expected and gave me a whole new level of respect for the sport, the preparation, and the people willing to test themselves out there. I walked away with a lot of lessons and even more motivation.

Huge thank you to my coaches .ciprianni for the guidance, patience, and constant push especially as I’m just coming up on three months of training.

Thankful for my entire team at for the support, the hard rounds, and the culture you’ve built. I’m grateful to be part of this room and to learn alongside people who truly care about this art.

And last but never least my wife, thank you for being there, for supporting me, and for standing matside even when the nerves were high. Having you there meant everything.

This was just the beginning. So much to learn, fix, and grow from. Looking forward to the next one.

I never imagined martial arts would become something I genuinely love but now I can’t believe I didn’t start sooner. This journey has already humbled me, challenged me, and completely hooked me.

Getting the chance to train with while he was in town at gym was an unreal experience and a reminder of how deep this art really goes.

I’m currently training for my first competition at the end of January equal parts excited and nervous. I don’t really know what to expect, but sometimes you just have to grab the bull by the horns and go. Win or lose, I know there will be a ton of lessons to take away from it.

Huge thank you to all of my training partners at the gym your patience, pressure, encouragement, and constant pushing make this journey what it is. I couldn’t ask for a better room to learn and grow in.

I’ll be sharing the lessons, the struggles, the small wins, and everything in between as I continue this Jiu Jitsu journey. One day I’ll look back at this first post and be grateful I started—and for the incredible people and community that came with it.

Safe to say… I’m all in. 🥋🔥

This quarantine is forcing us to slow down and take time for ourselves. I’ve been able to fish a lot more and it’s one of the few things that takes my mind off work and relives stress.
Remember that our current situation isn’t forever and with God’s strength, we will all get through this together! 🙏
