"Heaven may be your home now,
but you live in my heart."

I think that's what grief really is.

Love with nowhere to go.

Love that still exists long after goodbye.

Love that refuses to disappear.

My Dad may live in Heaven now,
but he still lives in my memories.

In the stories I tell.

In the lessons I share.

In the values he taught me.

In the strength he gave me.

And most of all,
he lives in my heart.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about him.

Sometimes it's a smile.

Sometimes it's a tear.

Sometimes it's simply a quiet moment where I wish he were here.

But every memory is proof of something beautiful:

That I was blessed enough to be loved by him.

And that kind of love never truly dies.

It continues.

Across years.
Across distance.
Across Heaven itself.

Until the day we meet again.

I love you, Dad.

Always have.

Always will.
