Sometimes things are not meant to be. However, you also count your blessings.

As you know I am a Realtor and a Yacht Broker. So as you can imaging the 1-2 Punch from Hurricane Helene & Milton did a number on our business. Here is an example of a beautiful Hunter 41 DS that we had under contract. It survived Helene without a scratch, however, it did not survive Milton.

Now. Where there is sorrow, there is also joy and hope. During Helene our home came within 6 inches of getting water inside from the storm surge. We were very blessed that the damaged suffered did not affect the integrity of our home. Then again with Milton, we lost our roof, but somehow the interior of our home was completely dry and untouched. We were able to find someone to put a tarp on it while we wait for the insurance. So even in the face of calamity, we are feeling very blessed that our home is still here and the interior of our home is still intact.

So today I am feeling very thankful and grateful.

Now the work begins to help rebuild our community.
