In California it is Earthquake Bolt & Brace season again! Bolt & Brace is a state sponsored rebate program for earthquake retrofitting of your home. Most homes in the Bay Area were built before 1980 and need to have earthquake retrofitting done in order to have a much better chance of surviving an earthquake. The state of California will pay for a significant portion of most earthquake retrofit work. The deadline to apply for the rebate is February 21, 2024. Call me for more information on the program as well as a referral to a quality Bolt & Brace contractor. Riette and I had the Bolt and Brace work done in 2017 and the state paid for over 50% of it.
