The most recent historical high water market for mortgage rate was 14 years. It was broken so many times in September that you officially declared it to be boring last Tuesday. Bottom line: 7% or close to it is the new 30 a fixed rate reality for now.

Mortgage Rate as of today!
There is a drop in mortgage rate this week, what’s interesting and uncommon is that the drop is faster than the US Treasury yields.
It’s typically the other way around as investors flock to the most basic first, risk-free bonds.
