Lori grew up in Marin County and has lived in Santa Barbara, Chicago and Seattle. She currently lives in Palo Alto with her husband and two children. Her involvement in helping to bridge the education gap for schools in under-served areas is also vitally important to Lori. She currently volunteers for the Ravenswood School District and KIPP Heartwood Academy Charter School in East San Jose. Some design trends come and go… zellige tile isn’t one of them ✨

I love how it brings instant character to a space with its handmade texture, glossy finish, and perfectly imperfect look. No two tiles are exactly alike, which gives every installation a custom, collected feel.

It started as a favorite for backsplashes and bathrooms, but now I’m seeing it everywhere - in fireplace surrounds, feature walls, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and other spaces that deserve something special.

That’s the beauty of zellige: it can feel old-world, modern, relaxed, or elevated depending on how it’s styled.

Safe to say, this is one trend that has officially become a classic. 🤍
