When you tell your REALTOR® what you’re looking for, tell us WHY you want those things too. 🏡
Let’s say you tell me you want a foreclosure on a few acres.
Okay, but why?
Do you want a foreclosure because you’re specifically interested in distressed properties or because you’re hoping to find a really good deal?
Do you want acreage because you actually need several acres or because what you really want is privacy and enough room for a workshop?
Because those are VERY different searches.
And sometimes something funny happens once we start touring homes. 😂
You tell me you want an older fixer-upper and then every house you send me is beautiful new construction.
That actually tells me something!
Your criteria are allowed to change.
Sometimes you don’t know what you really want until you walk through a few houses and realize, “Okayyyy.... apparently I like THIS.” 😂
My job isn’t just to plug 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 acres into the MLS and send you whatever pops up.
I want to understand what you’re actually trying to accomplish.
Because once I know the why, I can start looking for properties that solve the problem, even if they don't perfectly match the original checklist.
So if you're house hunting, give your REALTOR® permission to ask a million questions. And when your priorities change, tell us!
I promise I'd much rather completely change the search than show you houses based on a wish list you don't even want anymore. 😂🤍
The goal isn't to find the house that checks your original boxes. It's to figure out which boxes actually matter.
