🚨 BREAKING: PCB spring break overnight beach closures: good move or too strict? 🌊🚫

The City Council has UNANIMOUSLY approved overnight beach closures for the 2026 Spring Break season! Starting March 12 through April 30, certain high-traffic sections of our sandy white beach will be completely OFF LIMITS late at night to keep our community safe and manageable.

📍 WHERE: Beach Accesses 25-36 (behind Pineapple Willy’s and Shores of Panama) and Access 58 (Calypso & City Pier).
⏰ WHEN: 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
⚠️ ALSO: No alcohol is allowed on ANY part of the beach for the entire month of March.

City leaders say these measures are vital for crowd control. "If left unchecked it just gets out of control," says Capt. James Smeby. Between the beach closures and the 8 PM juvenile curfew, the city is taking a ZERO-TOLERANCE approach to chaos this year.
