This morning was a good reminder of just how much I enjoy what I do.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting the opportunity to visit different real estate brokerages, meet new agents, catch-up with familiar faces, and share what’s happening at D.R. Horton.

Real estate may be about homes, but at its heart it’s really about people and relationships.

A huge thank you to Joann Revell and all of the wonderful Realtors at Coldwell Banker for welcoming me with open arms this morning. Y’all made me feel right at home, and I truly enjoyed spending time with everyone.

I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships I’ve built in this industry and for every opportunity to serve both Realtors and homebuyers.

Sometimes I have to stop and appreciate how much God has blessed this season of life. I certainly don’t take it for granted.

Thank y’all again for having me. It was a wonderful morning, and I look forward to seeing everyone again soon! 🏡❤️

Yallllll… Memorial Day Weekend has officially arrived which means:

Some people think I sell houses. 🏡

But the truth is… I help people believe a different life is possible for themselves.

DR Horton is not a luxury builder or a custom builder. We work hard to build homes hardworking people can actually afford. And sometimes that means I get to witness moments that remind me exactly why I started doing this in the first place.

Today Ms. Sharon stopped by.

She’s originally from Jamaica and doesn’t drive, so getting here wasn’t easy for her. She asked me if I would take her picture standing in front of her new townhome.

She smiled so big and said,
“This is a surprise for my granddaughter. She’s coming to visit me on holiday… and I’m going to own my own home when she gets here.”

Then she looked at me and said something I don’t think I’ll forget anytime soon…

“Rebecca, nobody thought I could do this. Thank you for helping me believe in myself.”

Y’all… she closes NEXT WEEK on the very first home she has ever owned. She is the mother of 9 grown children 4 daughters and 5 sons. I gave her fresh eggs when she got here. She told me when she moves to the neighborhood she is going ti cook me some oxtail for lunch!

That right there?
That’s the good stuff.
That’s why I got into real estate.

Not for transactions.
Not for trophies.
Not for sales numbers.
