Knowing how to read the flags at Panama City Beach is the quickest way to keep your crew safe and your beach day stress-free.

The Gulf is beautiful, but its conditions can change in a flash. Here is your quick cheat sheet before you hit the sand:
🟢 Green: Low hazard. Calm conditions, but still keep an eye on the kids.
🟡 Yellow: Medium hazard. Moderate surf or currents. Stay alert.
🔴 Single Red: High hazard. Strong currents and high surf. It's best to stay on the sand.
🔴🔴 Double Red: Water closed to the public. Stay out of the Gulf entirely—entering the water is illegal and comes with steep fines.
🟣 Purple: Dangerous marine life (usually jellyfish or stingrays) nearby.

Look up, stay safe, and enjoy the emerald waters!
