Voting Begins Tomorrow! 🗳️

Over the past several weeks, I’ve shared a little about who I am, why I’m running, my approach to leadership, and my vision for the future of our association.

As voting begins tomorrow, I simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, shared kind words, asked questions, and taken the time to learn more about why I want to serve on the Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors.

I believe leadership is about listening, showing up, working together, and making decisions with the best interests of our members and our association at heart.

I am ready to show up, and I am ready to serve, and I would be truly honored to have your vote.

My Vision: Building on a Strong Foundation

One of the things I value most about CPAR is the strong association we already have. We have dedicated leadership, involved members, valuable education and resources, and a REALTOR® community that continually shows up for one another and for our community.

My vision isn’t about changing what makes CPAR great—it’s about building on that success and finding opportunities to make an already strong association even stronger.

I would love to see even more of our members discover the value that comes from getting involved—whether that means serving on a committee, attending an event, participating in education, sharing ideas, or simply becoming more connected with fellow members.

As our industry continues to evolve, I also want to see CPAR continue doing what it does so well: keeping members informed, providing meaningful education and resources, promoting professionalism, and preparing our membership for what’s ahead.

And to me, that’s what forward-thinking leadership is about. It’s appreciating where we are, recognizing what has made us successful, and continuing to ask, “How can we build on this?”

I don’t expect to have all the answers. I do believe in listening, asking questions, considering different perspectives, doing my homework, and working collaboratively to make thoughtful decisions that support both our members and the long-term success of our association.

CPAR already has so much to be proud of. My vision is to help build on that foundation, encourage even greater member engagement, and contribute to an association that continues to grow, evolve, and lead.

My Career Changed. My Approach to Leadership Didn’t.

When people learn that I spent 27 years as a critical care nurse before becoming a REALTOR®, they often wonder how I went from one career to the other. On the surface, they may seem completely different, but I’ve found that many of the skills that made me successful in nursing are the same ones I rely on every day in real estate and in leadership.

For years, I worked in an environment where I had to listen, communicate, solve problems, prioritize, work as part of a team, and make important decisions—sometimes very quickly. I also learned the importance of accountability and advocating for the people I was there to serve.

I’ve carried all of that with me into real estate and into my involvement with CPAR.

I believe good leadership starts with listening and understanding the issue in front of you. It means being willing to hear different perspectives, ask questions, work collaboratively, and then make thoughtful decisions based on what is best for the organization and the people it serves.

That’s the kind of Board member I want to be.

Our industry is changing, and I believe CPAR has an important role in helping our members navigate those changes while continuing to promote professionalism, education, communication, and involvement.

I’ve truly enjoyed serving CPAR and getting to know so many of our members along the way. I’m ready to take that involvement to the next level, and I would be honored to have your support and your vote for the CPAR Board of Directors. ❤️
