We are looking for a part time Maintenance Technician (25-32 hours a week) for 2 apartment communities (140 apartments) and help out at other properties as needed. There is a grounds keeper at the community.
You would help a full time maintenance technician.
Maintenance tasks include painting, plumbing, electrical work, and turning apartments. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly. The goal is to maintain the communities, keep residents happy, and work as a team.
Responsibilities
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, appliance repairs, minor plumbing issues, etc.)
Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. grounds) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
Report and communicate with Managers and work with other maintenance technicians.
Schedule and complete work order requests from residents (Manager will schedule with you)
Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
On Call is on a weekly rotation with 3 other maintenance technicians for 6 properties. (On Call begins 5pm Monday-Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday)

Requirements
Knowledge of general maintenance
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Good attitude and a willingness to work
Certificate in HVAC preferred
