Interesting shift happening at the very top of the real estate market. 👀
Manhattan rentals over $100,000 A MONTH are now up 7X compared to last year.
And these aren’t people renting because they can’t afford to buy. Many can afford $20M–$50M homes. They’re choosing to rent because of limited inventory, flexibility and the changing cost of ownership.
That’s the part worth paying attention to.
Real estate decisions aren’t always about “Can I afford it?”
Sometimes it’s:
Does owning make sense right now?
Where does my money work hardest?
What does the tax strategy look like?
And how much do I value flexibility?
Different market than the Panhandle 😂 but the strategy behind the decision is something we see everywhere.
