This little guy showed up on the sink to chat while I was washing out dog bowls. I told him alllll about a certain puppy (won’t mention any names, Simba😵💫) who doesn’t want to house train! And he reminded me of a very valuable lesson…
I am very alarmed by what is happening and not happening in our country. Most recently I was dumbfounded by the 82 million dollars our state spent on 4-acres of beach front property in Destin them claim was purchased for land conservation…the plan is to make it a parking lot for 100 vehicles. 🤔 A lot has since been uncovered about who the former land owner was and how he pads the pockets of politicians.
Check out Matt the Welder videos. Matt says, “Florida is a sunny state with shady people.” That struck a chord with me and I have been digging deep and it’s not pretty…pretty sad is more accurate.
Albert Einstein said, “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them and do nothing.” My first thought was what can little me who knows not a whole lot of politics do?
I think Mr Lizard said, “You can’t do anything worse than what is being done!” Sigh, all jokes aside he reminded me of Proverbs 30:28, "The lizard you can take in your hands, yet it is in kings' palaces."
Digging deeper I learned this translates in to even though small and easily caught, the lizard uses its climbing abilities to slip past the vigilant guards and enter the most secure places, like a royal palace. Biblically, this teaches that even the weak or lowly can achieve great things, and it is often used as a metaphor for how believers can boldly enter God’s heavenly throne room through grace.
Granted I’m not planning to slip past guards to get my point across it reminds me that even though I feel like a small nobody at the thought of entering the political realm, through the greatness of God little folks can be used by him in big places!
As I research getting my name on a future ballot I covet your prayers and encourage you to pray about where and how you can get involved, too! Our country and our children’s future need YOU!
