Novalie’s Cakesicles & More is a new cottage bakery created with creativity, flexibility, and a whole lot of heart. The business was started as a way to help raise money for an engine replacement, and what began as a goal has quickly become an opportunity to create something truly special.

This sale is a pretty special one. ❤️

I was there the night this young man was born 20-some years ago… wink, wink. 😉

And now, here we are at house #3!

He found an awesome home in a great neighborhood, a fantastic location, and—most importantly—a nice fenced-in backyard for Nova to run and play. 🐾🏡

It’s pretty amazing getting to watch someone grow up and then be part of milestones like this along the way.

Here’s to many new memories ahead. Congratulations! 🥂🔑

After nearly melting at the horse show yesterday, Starbucks felt necessary this morning.

Bandit apparently wanted the full experience and ended up with lavender cold foam all over his beard. 💜🤣

He wore it well.

Funny Farm Friday — Cowboy Edition 🤠🐴

I may be a little biased, but I think we have a new cowboy in the making!

My little buddy Kaysen got a brand-new saddle and finally got to try it out yesterday. He was pretty proud of himself — and apparently one successful ride was all it took for him to decide he was ready for the next level.

Kaysen: “When do I get to go rope cows?”

Me: “Well…maybe we should learn to ride first.”

Kaysen: “I KNOW how to ride!”

Well, okay then. 😂

And in his defense, he already knows how to say WHOA, which is probably one of the most important things a cowboy can learn!

There’s just something pretty special about watching the next generation fall in love with horses. Auntie may be smiling just a little extra big over this one. ❤️

Look out, cows. Kaysen has a saddle now. 🤠🐮

This week’s Weekly Recommended Business is one that brings a little extra magic to birthdays, sleepovers, and special celebrations right here in the Omaha area!

Meet Kevin & Liz Farley, the new owners of Whimsy Tents, a luxury sleepover and party business they officially took over in August 2026. As parents of four, they loved the idea of helping other families create the kind of celebrations and memories their kids will remember for years to come.

Whimsy Tents has been creating magical celebrations around Omaha since 2021, and Kevin & Liz are excited to continue that tradition!

Their favorite part? Seeing a child’s face light up when they see their party setup for the very first time. And getting to build something together as a family while creating special memories for other families comes in a close second.

🎉 Apparently today is National Pamela Day!

Who knew there was a day just for us? 😄

This little girl had no idea she'd grow up to spend her days helping people find homes, making lifelong friends, and sharing a few laughs along the way.

Looking back, I'd say life has been pretty good. I'm grateful for the people I've met, the memories we've made, and all the adventures in between.

Funny Farm Friday 🤦‍♀️💻🎥
For YEARS, my laptop camera has worked… and then not worked… and then worked again.

I’ve had multiple IT people look at it. No one could figure out why my camera seemed to have a mind of its own.

Then this week, I REALLY needed it working for a meeting the next day.
So I thought, Fine. I’m figuring this out myself.

I Googled the problem, pulled up a YouTube video and — within about 15 seconds — discovered a MICROSCOPIC little button on the side of my laptop that turns the camera on and off.

Apparently, for years, I’ve been accidentally bumping this tiny button and creating my own personal IT crisis. 😂

Three or four IT people: stumped.

Me + YouTube: 15 seconds.

It only took me several YEARS to become a computer genius. 🤣
Moral of the story: Never underestimate a determined woman with a meeting tomorrow and access to YouTube.
