Some closings are especially meaningful.

Six years ago, I had the privilege of helping Rhonda and Paula purchase their home in Gretna. During our very first buyer consultation, we discovered something that immediately connected us—the place they were moving from was less than five miles from where I had lived before moving to Omaha. It felt like a little piece of my old home was coming here with them.

Over the years, we'd periodically get together, although never nearly as often as we planned. Isn't that how life goes? You always think there will be more time for that next lunch or get-together.

So when they called to tell me they were ready to sell their Gretna home, I was so happy to have the opportunity to work with them again, while also knowing I'd be sad to see them go.

Now their Gretna chapter has officially closed, and a brand-new adventure in Florida has begun! 🌴

Rhonda and Paula, I know you're already loving where you've landed, and that makes saying goodbye a little easier. Thank you for trusting me not once, but twice, with such important chapters in your lives. I wish you both so much happiness, sunshine and adventure in Florida.

🏡 SOLD — and this closing is one I’ll remember.

Congratulations to Dustin and Nyssa on the sale of their Papillion home and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their dream home in Michigan!

They reached out to me early and truly dug in to prepare their home for the market. We had the home pre-inspected, identified repairs that needed attention, and they did the work to make sure the home was ready for its next owners.

But there was something especially important to Dustin and Nyssa.

They had purchased this home using a VA loan, and they wanted to make sure it was in a condition where they could confidently consider an offer from another VA buyer.

Their preparation paid off. We received multiple offers, giving them choices—and ultimately, they chose the offer from buyers using VA financing.

There is still a misconception that VA loans are more difficult because of the possibility of VA-required repairs, and that can sometimes put VA buyers at a disadvantage in a competitive situation. Dustin and Nyssa remembered what it meant to have the opportunity to purchase their own home with a VA loan. They chose to honor another family’s service to our country by accepting their offer—even though another choice would have put more money in their own pockets.

That says an awful lot about the kind of people they are. ❤️🇺🇸

Now Dustin and Nyssa are settled into their dream home in Michigan, and I couldn’t be happier for them. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to play a part in helping them get there.

Happy 80th Birthday to my beautiful mom. ❤️

Where has the time gone? Eighty years is such an incredible milestone, and I wish more than anything that I could be there to celebrate it with you.

I can still remember being a little girl, looking up at you and thinking, “My mommy is so pretty.” I thought you were beautiful, and I wanted to be just like you. As I grew older, I came to understand that the things I admired most about you went far beyond what I could see as that little girl.

You taught me the importance of family, to love them, treasure them, and hold them close. You taught me the value of hard work and that if you truly want something in life, you don’t wait for it to happen. you work for it. So much of the woman I became was shaped by the lessons I learned from watching you.

There are some things I understand more deeply as I get older, and one of them is just how much of my mothers I carry with me throughout my life. I see pieces of you in who I am, in the way I love my family, and in the values I’ve tried to pass on to my own children.

I may not be there to wrap my arms around you today, but I hope you know how much I love you and how grateful I am that I get to call you Mom.

Happy 80th Birthday, Mom. I hope today you feel every bit as loved and special as you have always been to me. ❤️

What a success story this one is.

When I first met with Chopa, their home was already lovely, clean and lightly lived in after just two short years of ownership. They loved their home that they had built and were sad to leave it, but an exciting new opportunity was taking them away from the Omaha area.

With the market becoming more challenging for sellers, especially when a home isn’t fully prepared before hitting the market, we put together a detailed plan designed to give them the strongest possible position from day one.

Some closings are celebrations. Some carry a little more weight. This one was both. ❤️

Nine years ago, I had the privilege of helping John and Anna buy this home. It became more than an address. Their family grew here. Life happened here. Memories were made here.

Then, like so many military families, service to our country took them to new duty stations and new chapters. They held onto the home and rented it out, but it remained a piece of their family’s story here in Bellevue.

When the time finally came to sell, it wasn’t easy.

I stood with them in the front yard as tears were shed and they said goodbye to a home that had meant so much to their family. That’s the part of real estate that can’t be measured in square footage, sales price, or days on market. Sometimes we’re not just selling a house, we’re closing a chapter filled with years of memories.

And sometimes you realize it’s simply time to let someone else love the home, too. To fill those rooms with new laughter, new milestones, and beautiful memories of their own.
