Wise County Homestead Exemption Forms are due by April 30th. Use the link to access the form, which can be completed and submitted online or printed, filled out, and presented to the Appraisal District in Decatur along with a valid ID. This form can potentially save your family thousands of dollars annually and it cost nothing! The exemption remains valid for five years.

Happy to get this one leased out for my clients. 🎊

This is a neat one because the family needed more space, they had outgrown their townhome. They wanted a yard the kids could freely play in and needed a more personal setting. They didn't want share a wall with their neighbors anymore.

North Texas Homebuilding Scam: Fake Architect Pleads Guilty
A Texas husband has pleaded guilty to wire fraud after federal investigators say he and his wife scammed more than 40 North Texas families out of nearly $5 million in unfinished homebuilding and remodeling projects.
Chris Judge falsely claimed he was an architect — even after being warned in 2022 by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners to stop using the title. Prosecutors say Judge and his wife, Raquelle, used social media to lure clients with prices lower than competitors, then left projects delayed or incomplete.
Investigators say some of the stolen money was spent on living expenses, mortgage payments, and even plastic surgery. Judge also racked up hundreds of code violations in Runaway Bay before the FBI stepped in.
Judge faces up to 20 years in federal prison. His wife faces up to 5 years. Sentencing is set for spring.
