Sundance Film Festival is saying goodbye to Park City, and for many locals, it feels like losing a piece of home. It’s that feeling of missing something that will never return, and that’s what a lot of Parkites are experiencing right now.
For decades, Sundance has been woven into the fabric of this community. It brought energy, culture, and connection to the mountains every January.
The festival wasn’t just an event, it was a tradition that shaped how people experienced their town. As the festival moves forward in a new chapter, it’s worth reflecting on what it meant to be here, in this place, during those special weeks when the world came to Park City.
