This map is going viral on Facebook right now, and it’s bringing up a simple geography conversation.

After Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance, some people pointed out something that often gets overlooked:

America is a continent.
The United States is one country within it.

In many parts of the world, “America” refers to the entire landmass from Canada to Argentina. In the U.S., “America” is commonly used as shorthand for the United States. Both usages exist — it largely depends on language, education systems, and cultural norms.

This map just highlights that distinction visually.

Just geography and how words can mean different things depending on perspective.
