The September Utah Business Report is out, and it points to a state economy that keeps drawing people in. Tourism spending reached a record $13.7 billion in 2025, according to the University of Utah's Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, supporting roughly 167,200 jobs.

That appeal isn't only economic. Utah's dining scene earned national recognition, with nine restaurants named in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide Southwest, three of which are in Park City.

The August numbers are in for the Wasatch Back, and they show a market that looks very different depending on where you are looking.

At the county level, Summit County posted a $1.6 million median sales price with 788 active listings, while Wasatch County came in at $1.2 million with 572 active listings.

Across the individual areas, the range is wide. Park City Limits sat at the top with a $3 million median, while the Kamas Valley remained the most accessible at $800K. In between, the Snyderville Basin came in at $2.1 million, Jordanelle at $1.6 million, and Heber Valley at $1.1 million.

Pace varied just as much. Homes in the Snyderville Basin moved fastest, averaging 57 days on market, while Heber Valley averaged 86. The Basin also saw the most activity of any single area, with 399 active listings and 61 closings.

Within about a 30-minute drive, median prices span from the $800Ks to $3 million. Where you buy shapes everything, from price to how quickly you can move.
