Snow Much to Prepare For: Winter Storm Tips You Need to Know!
Dear Area J Shareholders:
We are gearing up for some more winter weather this week. To best serve you, we have a few reminders and requests ahead of the storms, so everyone may be best prepared.
In the event of the heavy snowfall expected, please know your maintenance team is prepared to address common walkways. courts and Krotiak driveways. Priority areas such as courts and driveways will first be addressed to provide you easier access to exit the courts &/or driveways. Once those areas are clear, focus will move to common area walks and community sidewalks. Depending on the timing of the storm, we are prepared to start as early as 6:00am to remove snow. How long each area will take is unknown, so we thank you in advance for your patience in waiting for the team to make their rounds. Depending on the length of the storm, they may have to make several passes.
We will be pretreating lots to keep everything as clear as possible. With the snow projections, please understand that areas of pile up can be anticipated and while we would love completely clear courts, that may be unrealistic to expect. Staff will do their best to plow and remove the snow as not to impact parking but depending on the amount of snow, or the location of the spot and risk of damaging a vehicle, you may experience this in some areas.
In the event you must leave your homes during this winter event, please use extreme caution. Please be aware of your surroundings and look for the safest route. We suggest appropriate winter footwear be worn when walking on property or to/from your vehicle. Walk with caution as areas may be slippery.
Lastly, we wish to remind you to ensure you keep valuables out of your vehicles, that they remained locked, and that you do not leave vehicles running in parking lots unattended. Some individuals take advantage of these winter events and a spike in theft or crime can occur. We want to assist you in helping yourself remain safe and secure during this time.
Stay Warm!
