Some journeys home take time.
This one took 8 years.

I feel especially honored by this testimonial because these clients are family. And let’s be honest, family can be the hardest clients. They know you too well. They keep you honest. They question everything. They can drive you a little nuts.

But this experience...it was the opposite.
We grew closer. They got to see me in my element, doing the work I love, leaning into the strategy, the problem-solving, the magic and the fun that happens behind the scenes.

They’ve been dreaming of this move since 2017.
Listed once before, no traction.
Five years later, we tried again together, got a solid offer, but life with young kids made the timing wrong.

Fast forward to 2025. We listed again, but this time with a very intentional plan. While others went public, we went private. By listing on the Private Listing Network at a competitive price, they were able to control the process from start to finish. We built in the time they needed: an extended lease-back, a contingent-on-closing purchase, and the runway for a major renovation before fully settling in.

Today, they’re in their dream home. Their forever home.

This journey required courage, patience, and an incredible amount of trust. I don’t take that lightly. I’m deeply grateful they chose me, again, to guide them all the way home. 💛

Today, on MLK Day, I’m reflecting on what fair housing really means — not just as a professional obligation, but as a personal value.

Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us that equality is not passive. It requires intention, courage, and consistency. In real estate, that means ensuring access, opportunity, and dignity for every person — without exception.

Homes are more than transactions. They are safety, stability, and the foundation from which families build their lives. Everyone deserves the chance to feel welcome, respected, and supported in that journey.

Fair housing is not a box to check or a phrase to repeat once a year. It’s a daily commitment — in how we listen, how we guide, how we advocate, and how we show up for our clients and our communities.

Today, I honor Dr. King by recommitting to doing this work with integrity, care, and heart. Because equity doesn’t happen on its own — it’s built through action.

Renters are the bread and butter of real estate — and I mean that in the best way.

A recent article from National Association of REALTORS® highlights what I see every day: most new households begin their housing journey by renting, not owning. And that matters.

Renting is where people learn.
What matters most. What they can afford. Who they want to build life with.
As kids, a roof is provided. As adults, home becomes our responsibility — and that learning curve is real.

I love working with renters. Exploring neighborhoods. Checking in months or years later to see what’s changed — a new job, a relationship shift, a move back home, or a quiet readiness for the next step.

When it’s time to become a homeowner, it’s rarely just financial. It’s emotional. It’s a passage into self-reliance. Often families are involved, advice comes from every direction, and behind the scenes I’m helping steady the process so my client can make their decision with confidence.

My renters know I’m on their team. They feel supported. Seen. Understood.
