The turnout for the Hilltop Schoolhouse Holiday Fair was incredible. The enthusiasm from the community for our lavender farm was so encouraging and the support for the schoolhouse was inspirational. The mayor of Parker, Jeff Toborg and his wife even paid a visit. Their support for this event and maintaining this historical building was so appreciated. Thank You All! This is what community is all about. Looking forward to seeing our new friends at our lavender farm opening, June 2024 opening!

Our farm, Pollywog Station Lavender Farm will be at the Hilltop Schoolhouse Holiday Craft Fair Saturday, Dec. 2nd. We'll be offering our farm fresh lavender products and pure honey in gift packs just in time for that special Christmas gift. The historical 1898 schoolhouse offers a small country Christmas experience that your family is sure to remember. There will be unique crafts from hometown artisans and a guest appearance from Mrs. Claus. We're anxious to meet you and tell you about our family lavender farm opening to the community in 2024! See you there!

Dear Mother Nature,
First and foremost, thank you for the bountiful blessings of rain you've bestowed upon us recently. Your tears from the sky have nourished the earth, quenched our thirst, and painted vibrant hues across the landscape. We're grateful for the beauty and life you've brought to us! But could now do us a solid and bring on the summer sunshine? We have tons of mowing to do!

Follow our lavender farm progress at our new FB site: Pollywog Station Lavender Farm. Our lavender farm is named after the famous Denver & New Orleans RR that waggled up Hilltop Rd through our property. They called it Pollywog, Polly for short.

Allows the roots to grow deeper, Improves nutrient absorption,
Reduces the accumulation of straws, improves soil permeability,
Improves drainage, reducing the risk of fungal diseases,
Improves air exchange between soil and the atmosphere.
What more could you ask for?

Experts from the University of Minnesota say excessive leaf matter on your lawn going into winter is bad for several reasons. First, it will smother the grass and if not removed very soon in the spring it will inhibit growth. Second, it can promote the snow mold diseases. And finally, turf damage from critters (voles, mice) can be more extensive in the spring.

Believe it or not this beautiful field of is full of weeds. We can't bring ourselves to mow down these Wild Sunflowers or purple Tanseyleaf aka the Dakota Daisy.

It's been too long since we've communicated with out faithful friends and clients. We're happy to announce we're back with a passion. Here on the old homestead (originally homesteaded in 1883 by William Reynolds) we have begun to transform our property into a lavender farm and bee haven. We're very excited and look forward to sharing the rich Parker History of this homestead. Stay tuned!
