Real estate isn’t always HGTV moments and closing-day smiles.
Sometimes it’s a year of work that ends with a sign in the back of your car.
Yesterday was one of those days.
I lost two listings that I’ve poured countless hours into.
Not because I didn’t try. Not because I didn’t care.
The reality is that not every Real Estate investment turns out the way people hoped it would. Sometimes the numbers don’t make sense. Sometimes the market changes. Sometimes you can reduce the price over and over again and still never get back to a place where the investment works.
That’s a hard conversation to have with a client.
And it’s a hard reality to accept after a year of fighting for a sale.
If you’ve ever wondered why Realtors celebrate the wins so much, it’s because we’ve lived through the losses too.
The closing photos are public. The losses are usually private.
