Congress is on the verge of passing the 21st Century Road to Housing Act after the Senate voted 87-8 Tuesday night to advance the House's amended version of the bill. The 381-page bill includes 45 provisions aimed at expanding housing supply, cutting regulatory red tape, banning large institutional investors from the housing market, and updating the Community Development Block Grant program.

Today was our first full day in DC with the West Virginia Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy at the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings!

We kicked things off last night at the Hospitality Reception with Virginia REALTORS®. This morning started bright and early with breakfast together before heading to the Capitol for a tour. We also had the opportunity to sit in on a discussion with a representative from Fannie Mae and spent some time exploring the expo floor… and maybe buying a few things along the way. 😆

This afternoon, I caught up on some work before we head out to dinner tonight with REALTORS® from across West Virginia who are in town for the meetings.

It's been a great opportunity to learn, connect, and represent West Virginia on a national level. Looking forward to another full day tomorrow! 🤩

PAAR REALTOR® volunteers attended the eighth annual Parkersburg Pride in the Park, marking the third consecutive year that the Parkersburg Association of REALTORS® has participated in this community event. The festival attracted an estimated 5,000–6,000 attendees who gathered to celebrate and support Parkersburg PrideFest. The event featured 96 vendors representing a diverse mix of small businesses, corporate organizations, food vendors, and nonprofit groups from throughout the region.
