If I were starting over in Annapolis, here's where I'd land depending on the era I was in.
Walk everywhere era → West Annapolis Charming streets, independent shops, and close enough to downtown that your car becomes optional on weekends.
I want a yard era → Crownsville Room to actually breathe — bigger lots, more space between you and your neighbors, and still close enough to everything.
Close enough to the city era → Severna Park Easy access to DC and Baltimore without giving up the Annapolis lifestyle. Best of both without the compromise.
Quiet street era → Edgewater Tucked away, water nearby, and the kind of neighborhood where the pace of life actually slows down.
Brand new era → Odenton Modern finishes, move-in ready, and commuter access that makes the location work as hard as you do.
Historic charm era → Downtown Annapolis Brick sidewalks, 18th century architecture, and the feeling that where you live actually has a story.
Foodie era → Eastport A bridge walk from downtown with its own dining scene — and a neighborhood that takes good food seriously.
Park stroll era → Arnold Kinder Farm Park, the B&A Trail, and a Saturday morning routine that basically plans itself.
Waterfront era → Annapolis Neck your own little world — some neighborhoods have private water access, all of them are five minutes from downtown.
Wide open spaces era → Davidsonville Larger parcels, room to roam, and that rare feeling of being genuinely removed without being far from anything.
