As part of the 44th Avenue East Extension Project No. 6, overnight detours of southbound traffic on I-75 will be required, September 9 to 13 (11 PM to 4:30 AM), as the contractor begins placing structural steel girders for construction of the bridge over the southbound lanes. Motorists traveling southbound on I-75 will be directed to exit at SR 64 and east on SR 64 to Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Motorists will then be directed south on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard to SR 70 and west on SR 70 to access southbound I-75. For additional project information, please visit 44thaveeast.com.
