What a meaningful closing this was. As Taylor Swift would say—“it’s been a long time coming.

Amy and Jordi first reached out to me in January of this year while stationed in Colorado, with the goal of becoming Maryland homeowners once Jordi completed his term of service and separated from the military. After our initial conversation, I contacted Theresa Amos for lending support, and together we provided them with a clear plan to follow. Their original goal was to begin their home search in September; however, after a great deal of paperwork and waiting, we secured their official pre-approval in October.

Once pre-approved, we began searching for homes and quickly found what we believed could be “the one.” Unfortunately, their offer was not accepted—though that moment would later prove significant. We continued our search, and shortly after, they found their forever home. It had been on the market for just one day, met all their criteria, and I could immediately see the excitement in their eyes, just as I had with the first property. We submitted an offer, and after waiting for responses to multiple offers, theirs was accepted. During that waiting period, the listing agent from the first property reached out to ask whether my clients wanted to counter, but we declined—they were already under contract on their dream home. (Moments like this truly highlight the importance of who represents you!)

The inspection and appraisal processes were remarkably smooth—something I deeply hoped for after the challenges it took to reach this point.
