Around 4,400 single-family homes and 78 multi-family homes were destroyed in the January 2025 Eaton Fire.
According to LA County Recovers, 30 residential homes have been completed to date.

Some owners have rebuilt to sell on the real estate market.
There are currently 8 newly built homes on the market, priced from $1.65M to $3.2M.

There are 3 new builds in escrow, taking an average of 22 days to get there.

There have been 4 new build homes sold since the fire:
💰 Average price: $2M
⏳ Average days on market: 117 days

There are currently 52 lots on the market in Altadena.

Here are additional rebuild stats from LA County (as of 4/6/2026):
📄 3,108 rebuild applications received
✅ 2,863 zoning reviews cleared
🏗️ 2,399 parcels with full building plans received
✔️ 2,451 building plans approved
🪪 2,088 building permits issued
🚧 1,087 rebuilds in construction (new residential only)
🏡 30 completed (new residential only)

Another dynamic in the rebuild process:
Historic homes are being relocated to Altadena instead of demolished.
