A permit for new paint? Yes!

Get it and keep all your receipts.

LA city has made it clear that any money you put into your property no matter if it’s a house or even a condo, can be reimbursed to you when you sell a LIPA or MIPA property, so long as all the work is permitted.

And having worked with the city on numerous projects with client, yes there is a way to write into the permit all the work that you would like to do….even if it’s not structural.

Just the other day I had a client who got a permit for upgrading her windows.

That way when you do go to sell the home you purchase with the help of LA City’s downpayment assistance…the city doesn’t capture a share of work you put into it. Follow for more tips.

Follow the money.

JP Morgan Invesitng into the housing market is a sign that the market is doing well, and they want a cut.

This could mean more robust down payment assistance options in the future, not to mention greater financing for affordable housing to both rent and own.
