Last month, our team had the opportunity to attend the Global Leadership Summit at Lake Avenue Church—a powerful time of learning, connection, and inspiration alongside leaders from across the country.

We’re especially proud that our CEO, Megan, was spotlighted nationwide as part of the Summit and had the opportunity to share Door of Hope’s story through interviews at Lake Avenue Church and La Cañada Presbyterian Church.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to keep growing as leaders, learning from others, and bringing new ideas back to our work of helping families move from homelessness to hope. 💙

From an all-staff birthday guessing game to program-specific adventures in escape rooms, pool tables, and over Korean BBQ, Development Days gave us a chance to step away from the day-to-day and enjoy time together.

We’re grateful for the people who make Door of Hope what it is—and for the opportunity to build community beyond our work. 💙

This month, we’re celebrating a very special milestone: Lareka’s 10-year Workiversary! 🎉

For the past decade, Lareka has been a dedicated presence in our transitional homes, serving families through her care, encouragement and advocacy.

As her supervisor, Eugenah, shared, “Lareka has faithfully served families at Door of Hope with compassion and a heart for Christ. Through countless nights and everyday moments of care, she has helped make our houses places of hope and healing.”

Happy 10 years, Lareka! Thank you for your faithful service and the lasting impact you’ve made in the lives of so many families. 💛

🌊☀️ It was a hot one at Summer Carnival! With a heat wave rolling through, our families found plenty of ways to cool down, make a splash, and stay refreshed. 💦
From water games to soaking up the fun, these moments were a perfect reminder that sometimes the best way to beat the heat is together. 💛
Thanks to everyone who helped make Summer Carnival a day full of joy, laughter, and a whole lot of water!
