Rebuilding after a wildfire is so much more than rebuilding a house.

Before losing our home in the Eaton Fire, I had no idea how much actually happens between losing everything and finally getting to rebuild—insurance, architects, engineers, permits, contractors, budgets, design decisions, inspections, utilities, delays… and so much you never see coming.

We’re learning as we go, and I’m sharing the real side of this process—the wins, the setbacks, the decisions, and everything I wish I had known from the beginning.

If our experience can help even one family feel a little more prepared for their own rebuild, then sharing it is worth it. 🤍
