On March 15, Elizabeth House hosted a Breastfeeding and Bottle Feeding workshop led by Breanna Kuimi. From breastfeeding basics, pumping considerations, planning the transition back to work, and everything in between, we’re here to support women on their breastfeeding journey from birth and beyond.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of hands-on support of many volunteers who helped us move our families to safety and prepared the spaces to return them home again. Many donors and partners also shared needed resources at a time of great need. Due to your generous donations, you helped us raise more than $60,000 towards our Elizabeth House Emergency and Relief Fund.

Thank you for helping us cover the costs of hotel rooms and meals for our families during this challenging time for so many. With your help, we also were able to provide resources beyond the reach of insurance for professional cleaning and decontamination services. Your donations continue to serve our residents, alumni, and community clients that have been directly impacted by the fires.

Elizabeth House envisions a world where cycles of trauma are broken, and all women and children have the opportunity to thrive.

"I was born and raised in Hungary. I came to the U.S. to get my bachelor’s degree at Azusa Pacific University. One day in 1998, while I was a student, I found out that I was pregnant. I moved into Elizabeth House when the semester ended in May with very little money in my pocket."

Over the past 48 hours, our Pasadena community and the greater Los Angeles County area have been devastated by wildfires. We are sending prayers to our families, board, staff, therapists, donors, volunteers, and community experiencing loss and grief during this time.

Our residents remain safe and we are actively working to provide support to Alumni affected by the fires.
