The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests has issued a temporary closure order in the Bear Canyon Lake area on our Black Mesa Ranger District, effective today through August 31, 2026.

The purpose of this Order is to reduce disturbance to bald eagles during nesting and fledgling seasons.

It is hard to believe that we are exactly 1 month away from celebrating 4th of July on the USA's 250th Birthday!

It is not too early to start thinking about a plan for your furry friend(s). 🐕🐩

July 5th is notoriously THE busiest day of the year for animal shelters. Dogs frequently panic from fireworks, bolt, and get lost over the holiday weekend. Even if your pup has not had an issue in the past, you just never know. Please err on the side of caution, have a plan for your pet, and follow these simple guidelines.

We look forward to an amazing event, but the safety of all attendees (even the furry ones) is our top priority.
