Lately I've been getting the itch to clean, like really cleeeean my house. But I get a little overwhelmed wondering where to start...so I put this list together for myself until I realized, "there is probably more than just me in this boat". So I wanted to share it in hopes that someone else is inspired to get their hands a little dirty this spring 😏
AND... this is also a great list for getting your home ready to sell 😉
Kitchen: Clean appliances including the oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. Scrub the kitchen sink, countertops, and cabinets.
Declutter: Go through each room in your home and remove any items that you no longer need, use or love. Consider donating, selling or recycling items that are still in good condition.
Dusting: Dust all surfaces including shelves, furniture, and electronics. Don't forget to dust the baseboards, molding and light fixtures.
Windows: Clean windows and window sills, both inside and outside. Use a window cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth or squeegee.
Floors: Vacuum, sweep or mop all floors, including carpets, rugs and hard floors. If needed, shampoo carpets or rugs.
Bathrooms: Clean and disinfect all surfaces including the toilet, bathtub, shower, sink, and mirrors. Don't forget to wash shower curtains and liners.
Bedding: Wash all bedding, including sheets, comforters, pillowcases and blankets. Flip or rotate the mattress.
Outdoor spaces: Clean outdoor furniture, sweep patios and decks, and remove any debris from the yard.
HVAC systems: Clean or replace air filters in your HVAC system to ensure proper functioning.
Deep cleaning: Consider hiring a professional cleaning service for a deep cleaning of your home, including areas that are often overlooked, like blinds, vents, and behind furniture.
