Hey friends! I wanted to share something thatās really important to our community.
Many of you have heard me talk about Backpack Buddies before. During the school year, they provide food to children in Coweta County who may not have enough food at home on the weekends when school meals arenāt available.
But during the summer, the need is even greater.
When school is out, many of these children lose access to the breakfasts and lunches they receive during the week, so Backpack Buddies works hard to provide even more food to help families bridge that gap.
Thatās why Iām collecting donations to support their summer food program. Weāre collecting Easy Mac boxes in June, breakfast bars in July & fruit cups in August. Every donation stays right here in our community to help local children and families.
I have had the opportunity to volunteer with Backpack Buddies a couple of times, and seeing firsthand the impact they make was incredible. This organization is truly changing lives right here in Coweta County.
