This day in history marks the birth of an important man --Ben Cohen.
Ben Cohen from Merrick, NY was an art teacher but he wanted to make bagels.However, he was sidetracked because the machines were too expensive. With his childhood friend Jerry, they looked at making ice cream. Ben suffered from anosmia, which causes a loss of taste and smell. Therefore, in order to taste the add-ins of their ice cream they needed to add larger chunks. Hence, Ben and Jerry changed the landscape of ice cream by adding larger chunks of the added ingredients. So we all say, "thank you, Ben"!!!
