It can happen so quickly!!
My advice is to ALWAYS to speak with your escrow agent ahead of time and throughout the transaction process, then take a minute or two to call them in order to verify the wire transactions.
Hackers are very good at gaining access to email systems, and they will sometimes "observe" for days, so that they can mimic the employees language in their fake emails.
Don't ever "TRUST" until you first "VERIFY".
