The joys of having a beach rental.
Laci called me, yesterday about noon, to tell me a client had tried to pull out the sofa sleeper. The frame jammed from previous damage. They tried to shove it back in and it broke the sofa’s frame itself, so badly, the sleeper frame hit the ground. Leaving it unusable as even a couch!
We had changed the occupancy from 8 to 6 so it wouldn’t be used. That was also a smart move because any time I’ve had 8 people in there it usually comes with some kind of damage or missing items.
The current customers were leaving at 9:00am this morning, the next client arriving at 1:00! So we had a tiny window of time to fix the issue before the other people arrived, so we didn’t have to cancel them and lose the revenue.
Thanks to Justin and Eric at Coastal Furniture, and massive coordination with Laci, Justin cancelled his previously scheduled delivery and gave me a great deal on a new couch and love seat.
We’ve bought 90% of what’s in the condo, today, from Justin and Eric and they’ve always been great.
But today was over and above what you could ask of anyone. That’s a truly customer centered business!
All this, plus housekeeping, took place in a 2 hour window. The next people are checked in with no idea there was ever an issue.
