ONE YEAR.

Hi, I’m Malachi — 22 years young and the owner/operator of Lug Way Junk Removal.

It’s still crazy for me to say that.

Because 3 years ago, I was actually Lug Way’s first and only full-time employee. I got to see the business from the inside, learn the good, the bad, the wins, the mistakes 😂, and most importantly, learn what it really takes to build something of your own.

At 19, I was sleeping on my mom’s couch after dropping out of my first year of college. Not long after that, I totaled my car. I didn’t have everything figured out. Honestly, I was just trying to figure out what direction my life was going to go.

Looking back now, I can see that some of the moments I thought were setting me back were actually putting me in position for what was next.

Fast forward to today…

I’m sitting here celebrating ONE YEAR as the owner/operator of the same business that gave me an opportunity when I was 19.

And not only that — I get to serve the same communities I grew up in and around.

That’s something I don’t take lightly.

This past year has taught me a lot about business, but even more about myself. There have been long days, long nights, wins, setbacks, mistakes, prayers, and plenty of moments where I had to remind myself why I started.

So I want to give my biggest THANK YOU to:

#1 — God.
Without the long nights praying, reflecting, and trusting that there was a bigger plan for me, I wouldn’t be here.

#2 — Elijah.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to carry on a vision that we both believed in while I was working and growing Lug Way under your ownership.

#3 — EVERYONE who has supported Lug Way.
Whether you’ve been a customer, family, friend, referred somebody, shared a post, left a review, or simply engaged with the content — I genuinely appreciate you.

Because Lug Way has become about more than just picking up junk.

It’s about creating opportunities, helping people reclaim their spaces, and doing our part to help the communities we serve reach their full potential.

One year down.
