Did you know Gulf Islands is home to a 1400 mile long trail?
The northern terminus of the Florida National Scenic Trail is found right here in our park, and continues all the way down to the southern terminus at Big Cypress National Preserve near Miami.
Want to hike a section?
The trailhead can be found next to historic Fort Pickens and travels through forest, past the campground, and down to the beach. The first 2 miles of trail are dog and bike friendly, so bring the family and take a hike! πΆπ΄ββοΈ
