📢 Applications are now open for the Summer Youth Employment Program! If you know any youth ages 16-24 looking to receive paid work experience this summer, this is their chance.

👩 Qualified youth who are accepted will be able to work up to 30 hours a week, with positions available in various county departments along with the Escambia County School District, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector's Office and Supervisor of Elections Office. Participants will also receive job readiness training prior to job placement as well as post-employment briefings. All applications are due Friday, April 15 by 3 p.m.

Escambia County CARES Act Family Assistance Program FAQs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Engage in the work of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, heating and air conditioning, painting, repairs to masonry in the apartments and common
areas or furnishings of buildings
 Complete light duty maintenance tasks, including but not limited to caulking, change locks, replace screens, replace door stops, change air conditioning filters, replace light bulbs, etc.
 General cleaning and up keep of buildings including shops, common areas and offices including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows
 Upkeep of pool (when applicable)
 Assist other departments as requested, including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies
 Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
 Available for after hour emergency maintenance items as outlined in the
Apartment Operations Manual
 Follow policies and procedures
 Additional duties as needed
