In his free time Pete Linsky continues to serve with the Navy Reserves as an Instructor Pilot at Whiting Field in Milton, and also enjoys playing beach volleyball, mountain biking on the local UWF single track trails, and spending time on beautiful Pensacola Beach with his family. With his Active Duty days behind him, Pete Linsky is now focused on his interest in Real Estate. The Fed did decide on a 25 basis point cut today. Keep an eye on mortgage interest rates over the next month, hopeful we will see reduced rates in the near future.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell joined the majority of the FOMC to vote for the quarter-point rate cut at Wednesday's meeting in Washington DC.

The FOMC meets Oct 28-29 to discuss interest rates. Markets expect a 25bp cut, bringing the federal funds rate to 3.75–4%.

Lower rates typically lead to easing mortgage costs and support housing demand.
