When I bought my first home, it was a daunting process. I didn't know what half the pages that I was quickly signing meant. I had no clue what escrow was or what half of the terms that came out of my lenders' mouth truly were. But what I did have was loving, knowledgeable people around me who held my hand and cheered me on through every step of the process.
