Life is bittersweet. The sweet outweighs the bitter. Sitting on the front porch with a friend of over 30 years is a reminder of how sweet it’s been. Having a friend to go through the bitter parts of life is a gift, thank god for friends that lived through those times with you, no need to talk or visit the bitter memories, you both have the same nasty ones. So remembering the sweetest times of our lives is all that matters.
The older I get the easier it gets to miss those days, but it is easier to swallow the loss of those times when you have friends that you can reminisce and laugh with in the present,about the past.
Friends to remind us those days are not lost as long as we remember.
Hold tight those friendships,
They matter.
